Emerald International School, a leading residential school in Nelamangala, Bangalore, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Social Science Teacher to handle Middle School (Grades 6 to 8 - CBSE). The role involves teaching subjects like History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, as well as engaging students in the academic and residential life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) to Grades 6-8 following the CBSE curriculum.
Design and deliver lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and real-world connections.
Organize classroom activities, projects, and assessments to deepen understanding.
Guide students in research, presentations, and interdisciplinary projects.
Provide additional academic support and remedial sessions when needed.
Supervise and support students during evening prep time in the residential setting.
Participate in school events, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
Take part in residential duties such as dormitory supervision and student mentoring.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field, along with a B.Ed.
2-4 years of teaching experience at the middle school level (CBSE preferred).
Prior experience in a residential school is an added advantage.
Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic approach to teaching and student engagement inside and outside the classroom.
