Role Overview

As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will oversee mechanical system commissioning for data centers, ensuring efficient performance, system integration, and compliance with industry standards.

???? Experience: 8+ years in mechanical commissioning (HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHUs, FCUs, CRAC units)
???? Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
???? Industry Experience: Data centers and mission-critical facilities

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Systems Commissioning

✔ Oversee HVAC, chillers, AHUs, CRAC units, cooling towers commissioning
✔ Ensure redundancy, uptime, and environmental control for data centers
✔ Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) & Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

Testing & Validation

✔ Develop & execute test scripts for Functional Performance Testing (FPT) & Integrated System Testing (IST)
✔ Review technical submittals & specifications for commissionability
✔ Collaborate with BMS/EPMS teams for system integration

Project Management & Compliance

✔ Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors
✔ Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, NFPA, LEED standards
✔ Troubleshoot mechanical issues to prevent delays

Documentation & Reporting

✔ Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols
✔ Prepare checklists, punch lists, and final reports
✔ Lead team meetings & update project stakeholders

Leadership & Team Management

✔ Supervise commissioning engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
✔ Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and HSE compliance audits

Qualifications & Skills

✅ Mechanical Commissioning & Controls Management
✅ Data Center & Mission-Critical Facility Experience
✅ Strong knowledge of PHE, BMS, EPMS integration
✅ Experience with DDC control system sequences & automated commissioning
✅ Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, Visio, Google/Microsoft/Amazon Cloud Platforms
✅ Understanding of RIBA/AIA Stages of Work & Contracting
