Job Summary

As a Lead LV Secondary Engineer, you will report to the LV Engineering Manager and be responsible for requirement analysis, design, integration, installation, and commissioning of HVDC and AC Control & Protection Systems.


Key Responsibilities

???? Technical Design & Engineering

✔ Capture customer requirements and perform gap analysis
✔ Define schematic diagram requirements and create detailed design documentation
✔ Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Protection lists, and Principal Diagrams
✔ Define and design Control Panels using Engineering Base tool

???? Documentation & Specifications

✔ Develop electrical schematics, wire/cable schedules, general assembly drawings, and BOMs
✔ Prepare technical specifications for cabling, fibre optics, and cable routing
✔ Create design calculations (DC Load, power consumption, heat dissipation)

???? Testing & Site Support

✔ Oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Control System Testing
✔ Provide technical support for installation & commissioning activities on-site
✔ Investigate technical issues and implement corrective actions

????️ Team & Project Management

✔ Manage technical interfaces & system integration
✔ Review designs by internal teams & external contractors
✔ Lead and mentor a small project team

???? Stakeholder Engagement

✔ Interface with equipment suppliers, customers, contractors, and consultants
✔ Participate in technical discussions & customer meetings


Required Qualifications

???? Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

???? Experience:
5+ years in EPC project environments in T&D, Power Gen, or Oil & Gas
✔ Experience in at least 2 projects as a responsible engineer

???? Skills & Expertise:
Leadership & team management experience
✔ Strong knowledge of substation control & protection systems
✔ Experience in control panel design, system integration, and ancillary services
✔ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Engineering Base, Microsoft Visio
✔ Knowledge of networking & telecommunications
