About the Role: Software Engineer (Aladdin Engineering)

Key Responsibilities

Develop high-performance, fault-tolerant software for Aladdin's global, multi-asset trading platform.
Contribute to product roadmap development in collaboration with business users and product managers.
Identify and solve complex engineering challenges related to high-efficiency and high-availability systems.
Write high-quality, test-driven code, ensuring resilience and stability through:
- Code reviews
- Unit, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Development operations
- Level-two production support
Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and diversity within the team.
Lead efforts to enhance productivity, efficiency, and leadership development across teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

???? Education:

B.E./B.Tech./MCA or a related engineering degree from a reputable university.

???? Experience:

4+ years of experience with Java backend technologies.
Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and Java fundamentals.
Proven track record of developing high-quality software using design-focused and test-driven methodologies.
Hands-on experience with:
- Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- Concurrent programming and fault-tolerant distributed applications
- Message brokers and relational databases
- Engineering tools: Git, Maven, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Mocking Frameworks
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Interest in finance and investment processes or the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Learning Opportunities

⭐ Technical Skills:

SQL & NoSQL databases: Sybase, Redis, MS SQL, MongoDB, Ignite.
Event-driven microservice architectures using cloud-native design patterns.
Experience with distributed technologies like Kafka, Redis.
API & Microservices Development using REST, Kafka, or gRPC.
Experience in AI projects or research.
Front-end experience with React, Vue.js, Angular (advantageous).
Cloud platforms: Google Cloud, AWS, Azure.
Cloud deployment tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
Open-source contributions or certifications in software engineering.
