Role Overview

As a Messaging Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining enterprise messaging environments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the seamless functioning of email and messaging systems used by nearly 100,000 users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mid-level technical expertise to maintain messaging environments and troubleshoot issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between project managers and vendor technical contacts.
  • Engineer technology solutions to ensure compliance, security standards, and technical objectives.
  • Communicate software delivery strategy and progress to stakeholders.
  • Assist with migration support (PST export/import, tracking/validation, mailbox moves, PowerShell scripting).
  • Perform Exchange Server or O365 administration support, including mailbox administration and email routing.
  • Troubleshoot Outlook configurations, MFCMAPI issues, and mail routing problems.
  • Configure and support email/messaging gateways such as ProofPoint.
  • Manage email journaling support (PST export, ingestion, Enterprise Vault).
  • Track, assign, and prioritize tickets while providing escalation support.
  • Participate in Major Incident Management (outage response).
  • Update, review, and create Knowledge Base documentation for process improvements.
  • Continuously seek automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Location: Must be based in Gurgaon, India.
  • Work Model: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in-office).
  • Schedule: Monthly rotating shifts, including on-call rotation for 24x7 service and support.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in enterprise messaging rollout, troubleshooting, and support.
    • Strong understanding of Office 365 fundamentals & structure.
    • Experience in ITIL methodologies and network/server fundamentals.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Experience working with vendor teams for system integration and support.
