Position Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Calculation Engineer to perform electromagnetic and thermal calculations for generator design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating electrical designs, dimensioning, and creating customer documentation related to generator electrical topics.

You will work closely with Project Engineering Managers, Lead Generator Engineers, and Design Engineers to ensure all functional requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Generator Electrical Design & Calculations

✔ Perform electromagnetic and cooling calculations for projects and tendering (analytical and finite element analysis).
✔ Issue technical specifications to partners, suppliers, and customers.
✔ Ensure timely delivery of documents and services with agreed scope, quality, and cost.

Testing & Validation

✔ Participate in electrical type tests and factory running tests.
✔ Validate electrical test results of generators and brushless exciters.
✔ Provide technical support for tendering teams and project management.

Collaboration & Customer Interaction

✔ Respond to customer and site technical queries.
✔ Deliver customer presentations related to electrical calculations.
✔ Work closely with other engineering teams within Arabelle Solutions.
✔ Support the manufacturing and site teams throughout production and testing.

Innovation & Process Improvement

✔ Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) with innovative ideas.
✔ Propose continuous improvements in the electrical program and engineering processes.
✔ Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Compliance & Safety

✔ Follow Nuclear Safety, Environment, Health & Safety, and Product Safety policies.
✔ Ensure compliance with internal and international standards.

Decision-Making Authority

Areas Where You Make Decisions:

✅ Electro-magnetic and thermal calculations for generators
✅ Development, maintenance, and enhancement of calculation tools
✅ Customer specification evaluation and analysis
✅ Validation of generator electrical design in tendering and project execution
✅ Approval of electrical test results for generators and exciters

Areas Where You Provide Recommendations:

???? Manufacturing and site support
???? Tendering phase of customer projects

Qualifications & Requirements

???? Education:
✔ Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

???? Experience:
✔ 5+ years in electrical engineering, product engineering, service, or manufacturing
✔ Expertise in electromagnetic and thermal calculations of generators
✔ Strong knowledge of rotating electrical machines, particularly generators
✔ Trained in Nuclear Safety Culture & ITNS-I/ITNS-A management

???? Technical Skills:
✔ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
✔ Familiarity with finite element calculation tools (ANSYS Electrical, MATLAB, etc.)
✔ Knowledge of product data management (RPDM)
✔ Understanding of power plant environments, customers, and partners
✔ Awareness of internal and international standards

✔ Strong oral and written communication skills in English
