Job Summary

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PHP, WordPress, and front-end development, with a problem-solving mindset for web development challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications with a focus on front-end performance and user experience.
Translate UI/UX design mockups and wireframes into responsive, pixel-perfect web interfaces across all devices and browsers.
Work with PHP and WordPress to develop and optimize web pages, themes, and plugins.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to turn wireframes into interactive, responsive web interfaces.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application functionality and performance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in front-end development.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and optimize application performance.

Job Requirements

Education and Certifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred: Frontend Development Bootcamp or Specialized Training Program.
Certifications in PHP, WordPress, JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), or front-end technologies are a plus.

Experience and Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in front-end web development.
Proven experience with PHP, WordPress, and front-end technologies.
Experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins.
Prior experience in troubleshooting and optimizing web performance, accessibility, and security.
Knowledge of SEO best practices related to front-end development.
Experience using Git and other version control tools.
Familiarity with backend development concepts for better integration with APIs.

Skills

Strong proficiency in PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) is a plus.
Experience with responsive, mobile-first web development.
Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and debugging.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
A continuous learning mindset to stay updated with new front-end trends and technologies.

Schedule Requirements

Ability to work night shifts during Eastern Time (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday to Friday, including holidays.

Technical Requirements

Reliable wired internet connection (100 Mbps minimum).
Computer/laptop with Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM minimum, and 128GB free storage.
Dual-screen setup preferred for enhanced productivity.
Operating system: Windows 10 or macOS (latest version).
Clear webcam (720p or higher) and microphone for communication.
Backup systems for electricity and internet outages.
