Job Overview: Field Services Engineer

As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for desktop support, end-user server administration, and troubleshooting Level 1 and Level 2 issues in Windows, Exchange, and Office 365 environments. This is an onsite position in Hyderabad, where you will work alongside an exceptional team and collaborate with third-party vendors for warranty service repairs.


Key Responsibilities

???? Technical Support & Issue Resolution

  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues, cloud infrastructure concerns, and project-related tasks.
  • Handle Level 1 and Level 2 service tickets, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Set appropriate client expectations throughout the troubleshooting process.

???? Incident & Request Handling

  • Address issues related to:
    • Mail Application & Office 365
    • Client/Server Connectivity
    • VIP Workstations & Time-Sensitive Issues
    • File Restores & Networked Printer Issues
    • Remote Access (Citrix, Terminal Services) & Password Resets
  • Perform basic system maintenance, software patching, and OS updates.

???? Active Directory & Security Management

  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and group policies.
  • Work with Mobile Device Management (MDM) & Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools.
  • Assist in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and cybersecurity protocols.

???? Hardware & Cloud Support

  • Hands-on experience in server, desktop, and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
  • Support file systems, backups, restores, and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 3+ years of equivalent technical experience in IT support.

Technical Expertise:

  • Microsoft Office 365 & related products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Windows OS & Server Administration (Windows 10, 11, Server editions).
  • Active Directory (user management, password resets, group policies).
  • VPN setup & troubleshooting.
  • Basic cybersecurity knowledge (MFA, email security, spam technologies).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills – ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong prioritization abilities.
  • Customer-focused approach with a passion for IT support.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points!)

✅ Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
✅ Knowledge of VMware & Azure environments.
✅ Understanding of email/spam technologies & cloud security.
