Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the safety, security, and asset protection of the facility. The position oversees budget management, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role involves leading the emergency response team for all facility-related issues.

Core Responsibilities

Managing Engineering Operations & Budgets

✔ Oversee the physical plant, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and water treatment systems.
✔ Ensure regulatory compliance with facility safety and operational standards.
✔ Manage heat, light, and power consumption, recommending best practices for energy conservation.
✔ Develop service contract specifications, administer contracts, and support facility needs.
✔ Monitor and distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders, ensuring timely and quality completion.
✔ Direct maintenance operations for grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
✔ Develop and oversee the execution of long-term preventive maintenance and asset protection plans.
✔ Supervise renovation and new construction projects, ensuring budget and timeline adherence.
✔ Liaise with external agencies (city zoning, fire prevention bureau, and vendors).
✔ Ensure the fire crew is trained and understands all procedures, equipment, and alarm systems.
✔ Conduct monthly property inspections to ensure the facility is in excellent condition.
✔ Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction.
✔ Recommend and arrange for painting, repair work, renovations, and equipment replacements.
✔ Manage the procurement and inventory of parts, equipment, and furnishings.

Maintaining Property Standards

✔ Ensure building and equipment licenses and certifications are up to date.
✔ Maintain life safety systems, including firefighting equipment, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

✔ Exhibit leadership in guest hospitality, creating a positive atmosphere for guests.
✔ Review guest feedback and satisfaction data to identify improvement areas.
✔ Collaborate with property leadership to implement corrective actions for service improvement.
✔ Continuously strive to enhance service performance.

Qualifications & Experience

???? Preferred Qualification: Engineering Degree
???? Experience:
???? 3+ years in hotel/hospitality maintenance (Preferred)
???? Strong knowledge of building operations, facility management, and safety compliance
