Role Overview

As an Experienced ECS Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to Boeing commercial airplane customers, ensuring the operational safety of aircraft. You will work with complex technical challenges and contribute to ensuring airplanes return to service safely and efficiently. This role involves extensive troubleshooting, creating technical documentation, and collaborating across various teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Technical & Design Support: Provide technical support for basic production, product support, or in-service issues. Troubleshoot aircraft system problems consistent with operational protocols.
Documentation Review: Analyze Boeing documentation (e.g., maintenance docs, component manuals) to resolve in-service concerns and proactively suggest solutions for future fleets.
ECS Systems Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting on systems such as ATA 21 (Air Conditioning), ATA 26 (Fire Protection), ATA 30 (Ice Protection), ATA 36 (Pneumatic System), and ATA 47 (Nitrogen Generation System).
Fleet Solutions: Review designs, ensure systems meet customer needs, and help create technical documentation like Fleet Team Digest articles, manuals, and service letters.
Engineering Disposition & Solutions: Assist in the design and analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis and work with cross-functional teams to address complex design non-conformances.
Customer Support: Develop customer correspondence to ensure the continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
24/7 Support: Provide flexible support to address emergent issues and attend meetings off-hours, ensuring that the fleet operates 24/7/365.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Experience:
- 10+ years of related work experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- At least 7+ years of experience in ECS systems and troubleshooting on commercial airplanes.
- Experience with Boeing 7-series airplanes is highly preferable.
- Proficiency in using aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM), IPC, WDM, CMM, and other service documentation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Additional Certifications:
- AME credentials are a plus.
- B1/B2 applicable license is an added advantage.
Experience:
- In-depth troubleshooting experience with various ECS systems, including Air Conditioning, Fire Protection, Ice Protection, Pneumatic System, and Nitrogen Generation System.
- Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting on Boeing commercial airplanes.
- Familiarity with airworthiness directives and related service documents.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple team functions and handle complex technical challenges.

Additional Requirements

Shift: Shift rotation, weekdays (India).
Work Schedule Flexibility: May require occasional off-shift or after-hours support.
Relocation: Relocation assistance available within India.
