???? About the Role:

The Trust & Safety team at Google is dedicated to identifying and addressing the most significant problems that challenge the safety and integrity of Google’s products. This team uses technical know-how, problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users from abuse across Google products, including Google Photos, Google One, Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads.

In this role, you will work with Google engineers and product managers globally to address abuse and fraud cases. You will be a strategic team player, helping maintain a high level of user safety and trust in Google’s products.

The Google Photos and Google One Trust & Safety team works to ensure that these products are free from Malware, Phishing, Violent Extremism, Hate Speech, and Misinformation. You’ll collaborate with multiple internal teams and work towards protecting offerings from malicious actors while promoting a positive user experience.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

Trend Identification & Vulnerability Mitigation:
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify new abuse trends and vulnerabilities within Google Photos and Google One.
- Set and monitor key abuse metrics, lead mitigation efforts to address concerning trends.
Collaboration & Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with teams like User Protections, Trust and Safety Workspace, and YouTube to set and reach trust, safety, and sustainability goals.
- Influence company-wide direction and strategies in the Counter-Abuse space, working within the product areas to define and implement mitigation processes.
Process & Tooling Improvements:
- Identify operational and tooling improvements to enhance Counter-Abuse processes, improving quality, precision, recall, and turnaround time.
- Work with Engineering to develop advanced solutions and ML algorithms to improve protection coverage and adapt to emerging trends.

???? Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in project management, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, identifying trends, generating statistics, and drawing insights from data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in signal development, cybersecurity, or anti-abuse efforts.
- Experience operating in cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Networks, Operations, Business Development).
- Proficiency in querying and analyzing large datasets, including time-series data and performing statistical analysis.
- Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, and visualization.
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Golang) for solving real-world problems using the right data and technology.
- Ability to deliver concise verbal and written communications for various audiences, reflecting a nuanced understanding of the subject.
