How Will You Make an Impact in This Role?

As a Backend Java/Kotlin Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving user story analysis, software development, and building automation tools. You will own all technical aspects of the development process while working closely with internal and external partners to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software applications, and test and build automation tools.
Own all technical aspects of software development (architecture, design, and implementation) for assigned applications.
Perform hands-on software development, including API specifications, proof of concepts, code reviews, and testing during sprints.
Drive consistent development practices, including the use of tools and common components.
Develop a deep understanding of integration with other systems and platforms within the supported domains.
Identify opportunities for adopting new technology to address current challenges and predict future business needs.
Effectively communicate with internal and external business partners regarding solution design and implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3+ years of experience in Backend Java/Kotlin development.
Strong understanding of core Java/Kotlin, SOLID principles, design patterns, and data modeling techniques.
Familiarity with Maven and Gradle for build automation.
Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
Proficiency in developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications.
Experience with unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), and integration testing.
Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Hands-on experience building React components for UI development.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with designing and deploying cloud-native applications.
Knowledge of API development and secure data handling.
Ability to collaborate in architectural discussions and advocate for clean code practices.
Strong interest in innovation, automation, and performance improvements.
