As a Microsoft 365 Exchange Administrator at Pitney Bowes, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our email communication systems, ensuring security and compliance, and providing support for Microsoft 365 services. Your work will focus on managing Exchange Online, integrating advanced email security, and maintaining seamless communication across cloud and on-premises environments.
Exchange Online Management:
Administer and optimize Exchange Online including mailbox management, distribution groups, and transport rules.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and licenses.
Implement and manage email archiving and retention policies to meet compliance requirements.
Provide system reports (audit, performance, etc.) and resolve messaging-related issues.
Collaborate with global admins to manage retention policies for user and shared mailboxes.
Proofpoint Integration:
Work with the security team to integrate Proofpoint for advanced email security and threat detection.
SPAM & Phishing Mitigation:
Address SPAM, phishing, and malicious emails to ensure a secure email environment.
On-Premises Exchange Management:
Maintain on-premises Exchange servers (2010/13/16/2019) in a hybrid setup.
Azure AD Connect & Teams Management:
Configure and manage Azure AD Connect for directory synchronization.
Manage Teams App and Team Access.
M365 License Management:
Oversee management of various accounts (user/service/admin) and licenses.
Compliance Management:
Handle eDiscovery, PST archival, and OneDrive access control.
Required Skills & Experience:
Exchange & Outlook Expertise:
Over 5 years of experience with Exchange and Outlook products.
Strong troubleshooting skills in Exchange Transport and Client Access.
Experience with Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016, and migrations from On-Premise Exchange to Exchange Online.
Familiar with Windows Server 2012 and 2016 administration.
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge in PowerShell and PNP Shell.
Deep understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and Networking (HTTP, TCP, IP).
Experience with Exchange Disaster Recovery scenarios and O365 Security technologies like eDiscovery, DLP, ATP, etc.
Outlook Experience:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange On-premises administration.
Experience with Outlook for iOS, Outlook for Android, and Outlook for Mac.
Degree Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (OR equivalent technical support experience).
Language Qualification:
English Language: Confident in reading, writing, and speaking.
Client & Team Collaboration:
Work closely with security teams and other stakeholders to enhance email security.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams and ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
Strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
