Job Summary

The MFG/DFM Engineer will be responsible for all stages of a customer’s product development and production process. The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating product development, ensuring manufacturability, and leading engineering change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate product development and production: Oversee the transition from design to production, ensuring the product meets manufacturing capabilities and timelines.
Act as a liaison between the customer and the supplier company, facilitating communication and problem-solving.
Manage product modifications: Implement all changes related to product design through engineering change management.
Ensure manufacturability: Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis to ensure that products can be efficiently and cost-effectively produced.
Risk and production management: Report production risk analyses, develop action plans, and ensure that all major production stages are completed on time.
Lead product definition and CAD completion: Ensure customer product specifications and geometry requirements are met.
Apply production management systems and tools: Utilize engineering change management and production management systems to monitor and control the production process.

Requirements

Education: Higher engineering education (e.g., metal processing, design engineering, or related field).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an engineer, preferably in the automotive industry.
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of various metalworking methods.
- Familiarity with metal and plastic post-processes such as polishing, hardening, anodizing, and coatings.
- Strong understanding of structural materials (metals, plastics, composites) and their machining properties.
- Proficiency in English, both conversational and written.
