We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Dance Instructor who will provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children while fostering technical excellence and creativity in dance. This role involves teaching various dance styles (ballet, tap, modern, jazz, hip hop) and contributing to the artistic and academic growth of students.
The Dance Instructor will be a core member of the company, reporting to the Director of Operations and collaborating with academic, administrative, and student support staff, including the Leadership Team (Vice Principal, Academic Head, Academic Coordinator, Teaching Staff, CEO, and Principal).
✨ Teaching & Academic Duties
???? Plan & Deliver Lessons – Implement, prepare, and teach dance modules in alignment with the Academic Framework and quality standards.
???? Teach Various Dance Styles – Instruct students in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, and hip hop.
???? Choreography & Performance Training – Develop students' technical and performance abilities and choreograph recital routines.
???? Assess Student Progress – Monitor, evaluate, and report students' development in dance techniques, knowledge, and contribution.
???? Safe & Effective Instruction – Use safe teaching methods based on class size, developmental level, and dance style.
???? Student Engagement – Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active learning.
???? Collaboration with Curriculum Leads – Ensure high-quality teaching materials and support.
???? Quality Monitoring & Enhancement
???? Monitor Course Delivery – Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth execution of the curriculum.
???? Attend Staff & Committee Meetings – Participate in discussions to improve teaching and student experiences.
???? Act on Student Feedback – Review student evaluations and implement necessary improvements.
???? Contribute to Research & Curriculum Development – Assist in scholarly projects and annual curriculum updates.
???? Professional Development – Stay updated on innovations in dance education, learning technologies, and artistic practices.
???? Organizational Leadership & Compliance
???? Adhere to Policies – Follow the organization's Health & Safety, Equal Opportunity, Data Protection, and Safeguarding policies.

✔ Ability to work in a dynamic, open-concept environment where noise and activities may be present.
✔ Must handle long periods of standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting while working with students.
✔ Adaptability to multiple interruptions and stressful situations without compromising the learning environment.
???? Education:
✔ Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
???? Experience:
✔ 1+ year of dance teaching experience (Preferred)
???? Skills Required:
✔ Proficiency in English
✔ Strong communication & instructional skills
✔ Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
???? Relocation/Commute:
✔ Candidates must be willing to relocate to Sonarpur, West Bengal or commute regularly.
✔ Thorough background check (including drug testing, if requested by the client).
✔ Compliance with company policies, ethics, and behavior guidelines.
✔ Adherence to a drug-free workplace policy with possible random screenings.
