Job Overview

As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing cost engineering support to deliver the work programme, ensuring the integrity of forward-looking data and expected delivery performance against approved plans.

Key Responsibilities

???? Primary contact for cost engineering in the supported region
???? Compile and review monthly cost forecasts, variances, and uncertainties
???? Support Forecast at Completion (FAC) and Cash Forecasting processes
???? Develop accurate estimates using trend analysis, scheduling, and execution criteria
???? Assist in financial memorandums using estimating and scheduling norms
???? Manage detailed cost reports and forecasts at the project WBS level
???? Utilize global systems (BTP, SAP) for reporting and analysis
???? Ensure accurate purchase order management and timely vendor invoice allocation
???? Capture cost updates and assess program change impacts
???? Coordinate quarterly financial updates and internal control reviews
???? Oversee CAPEX management and site scenario planning
???? Align financial positions with project controls
???? Promote collaboration and effective information sharing
???? Maintain cost benchmarks and support schedule updates
???? Engage with project delivery and procurement teams for effective cost management
???? Support continuous improvement through evaluations and problem-solving

Experience & Qualifications

???? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
???? Minimum 7 years of proven experience in cost engineering or project controls
???? Expertise in cost management, including forecasting, variance analysis, CAPEX/OPEX
???? Understanding of cost-schedule relationships and financial performance tracking
???? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
???? Familiarity with global reporting systems (BTP, SAP)
???? Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills
???? Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
???? Experience with project phases, change control, and risk management
