Role Overview

As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for data pipeline development, including coding, testing, and implementing ETL processes. You will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Informatica, AWS Glue, Databricks, and DataProc to process, transform, and analyze large datasets. Your expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) will play a key role in developing scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

???? Code Development – Develop error-free, optimized, and scalable data processing code.
???? Testing & Debugging – Conduct unit tests to ensure data quality and correctness.
???? ETL & Data Transformation – Work with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, AWS Glue, and Azure ADF.
???? Cloud Integration – Utilize cloud services like AWS Glue, BigQuery, Azure ADF/ADLF, GCP DataProc/DataFlow.
???? Data Analysis – Write advanced SQL queries and manage data schemas and models.
???? Collaboration – Work closely with quants, backtesting systems, and algo trading teams.
???? Support & Maintenance – Troubleshoot, debug, and improve data pipelines for stability and scalability.
???? Documentation & Knowledge Sharing – Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to team knowledge bases.

Skills & Experience Required

???? Technical Skills:
✅ Programming: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java (optional).
✅ ETL & Data Processing: Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, Informatica, GCP DataProc.
✅ Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, especially for data engineering.
✅ Data Analytics: Strong knowledge of SQL (including window functions) and KDB/Q queries.
✅ API Development: Experience in building and managing APIs for data systems.

???? Domain Knowledge:
✅ Exposure to Equity Derivatives Products (preferred).
✅ Understanding of tick-based KDB plants and trading systems.

???? Soft Skills:
✅ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
✅ Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing requirements.
✅ Problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability and performance.
