Job Summary

Le Méridien Hyderabad is seeking a highly skilled Engineering & Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering operations, ensuring the safety, security, and protection of assets. This role involves budget management, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation while ensuring regulatory compliance. The candidate will also lead the emergency response team for all facility-related issues.

Candidate Profile

???? Education & Experience:

✔ Option 1: High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related field with technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
✔ Option 2: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major with 1 year of experience in engineering and maintenance, along with technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

Core Responsibilities

Managing Engineering Operations & Budgets

✅ Oversee the physical plant, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
✅ Ensure regulatory compliance with facility regulations and safety standards.
✅ Implement best practices for energy conservation and optimize facility operations.
✅ Develop, manage, and administer service contracts for building maintenance.
✅ Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders while ensuring timely completion.
✅ Supervise maintenance of grounds, guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, and recreational facilities.
✅ Develop a long-term preventive maintenance plan and oversee its execution.
✅ Manage renovation and construction projects, from planning to contractor supervision.
✅ Maintain relationships with external agencies, including city building/zoning departments and fire prevention bureaus.
✅ Ensure fire safety protocols are followed, and fire response teams are trained.
✅ Conduct property inspections to maintain high standards.
✅ Recommend or arrange additional services like painting, repairs, and renovations.
✅ Oversee inventory management for equipment and spare parts.

Maintaining Property Standards

✅ Ensure all building and equipment licenses are up to date.
✅ Maintain life safety systems, including firefighting equipment, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

✅ Lead by example, fostering excellent customer service and a positive guest experience.
✅ Review guest feedback and satisfaction reports to implement improvement plans.
✅ Collaborate with leadership to ensure continuous service improvement.
