Job Description Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for planning, conducting, and monitoring the quality of a product line, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections. This role ensures on-time inspection to meet customer demand, with a strong focus on quality objectives.

Site Overview – Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF), Pune

Our Pune-based MMF is a key player in aerospace manufacturing, supporting India’s defense and commercial sectors, while also strengthening global aviation supply chains. With a world-class facility and a strong supplier network, we continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.


Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Control & Inspection

Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating necessary adjustments to the production supervisor
Approve finished products through final inspections to ensure all specifications are met
Conduct & document inspections, maintaining detailed logs and reports
Monitor & maintain calibration activities for all measuring/testing instruments (in-house & sub-contracting)

Customer & Process Quality Assurance

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Track & control rejections, raising alarms for non-conformities (NC) and ensuring Cost of Quality (CoQ) is maintained
Drive supplier recovery processes and maintain a critical supplier scorecard
Own Quality Metrics, including COQ, FPY, DPU, Escaping Defects, Customer Issue Resolution, and On-Time Qualification

Compliance & Process Improvements

✔ Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems
✔ Participate in internal audits, process improvements (Kaizen), and Lean initiatives
✔ Work closely with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Team for:

  • Digitization of quality metrics
  • Deployment of quality modules in MES
  • Support Lean initiatives (resource optimization, re-layout, automation, etc.)

Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor & train quality inspectors, continuously improving their skill sets
✔ Collaborate with High-Performance Teams (HPTs) to resolve quality escapes, RCA, CAPA, and other issues


The Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience

???? Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering from a reputed institution
???? 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Quality
Willingness to work in shifts to meet organizational goals

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication skills (oral & written) across all levels
Energetic, passionate, and highly motivated
✔ Ability to explain business drivers and organizational objectives to the team
✔ Experience in manufacturing processes (assembly, torqueing, wiring harness assembly, electronic component handling, etc.)
