Role Overview:

We are seeking a Systems Engineering Advisor – Active Directory with deep expertise in AD design, architecture, and integration, including Azure AD. The ideal candidate will drive migration strategies, enhance security practices, and manage complex AD environments across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and design Active Directory solutions, integrations, and platform migrations
Manage PKI and certificate lifecycle
Handle AD forest/domain consolidation and trust configurations
Create migration strategies for DNS, DHCP, and PKI
Develop PowerShell and VB.NET scripts for AD operations
Design and manage Azure Active Directory solutions and integrations
Integrate logs with SIEM tools and perform security audits
Conduct proof-of-concepts and vendor evaluations for AD solutions
Lead vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation for AD and Windows platforms
Recommend and enforce security best practices and risk management strategies

Required Qualifications:

5+ years in AD architecture, migrations, and Azure AD management
Proven experience in forest/domain consolidation using tools like ADMT, Quest
In-depth understanding of Azure AD technologies, including PIM, MFA, and Conditional Access
Expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation
Hands-on with IAM solutions (CyberArk, MIM, FIM, OIM, etc.)
Knowledge of identity standards: SAML, OAuth, OpenID
Deep knowledge in networking (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers) and secure directory services (LDAP, LDAPS)
Strong grasp of cryptographic principles, PKI, and AD authentication protocols (Kerberos, NTLM)
Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Microsoft NM for network analysis
Experience with AD disaster recovery, replication issues (repadmin), and GPO management
Proficiency in integrating with SIEM, audit log analysis, and security hardening
Experience in change management and attending CAB meetings (ITIL v3 or later)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong documentation abilities for technical architecture and configurations
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends for approved changes
Remote work supported (home office setup)
